I was very pleased to meet Dr. Jennifer Hertz, and not just because she's a fellow Trojan who graduated from USC. I was impressed by her deep knowledge of what was going on with my broken finger, and the information she gave me helped me understand exactly what would happen with surgery, what could happen without it, and what my options were. I was comfortable there. It didn't feel like some cold, ominous place where you wonder if you can trust the treatment. I enjoyed her pleasant demeanor, and the receptionist and intake person were great too. I forgot his name, but I'm very happy with my experience.

Dr Christopher Ruland is so professional, courteous, and caring. He's an excellent orthopedic surgeon, and thank goodness. My dealings with my new insurance company were awful and I didn't need more drama. Dr Ruland and the office staff helped as much as they could with all of that. The man in charge of X-rays is also excellent, careful and clearly skilled. After many X-rays in the ER and elsewhere, I really appreciate his caring professionalism. Broken bones mean lots of office visits, and thankfully Dr Ruland and this staff made an unfortunate event a pleasant experience.

The doctor gave me options and went with the one I chose without pushing back. She didn't try to steer me toward the choice that would have paid her more. My appointment was at 11:45, I arrived at 11:40 and was done by 11:50. She clearly puts patients ahead of profit and liability. Her office staff was courteous and helpful.
